Swizz Beatz’s five-year-old produced a song on Kendrick Lamar’s new project

The Gods have smiled at us overnight – or, at least, the King has.

Kendrick Lamar released a new project, almost a year since To Pimp A Butterfly blessed our ears, comprised of eight recordings from the TPAB sessions.

The collection, Untitled Unmastered, features unmastered (hence the name) cuts from TPAB, many of which devoted Kendrick fans will recognise from performances over the last year. One track receiving a lot of attention is Untitled 07 – because the second half of it was produced by Swizz Beatz’s five-year-old son.

Swizz, producer of anthems like Busta Rhymes’ Touch It, Cassidy’s Hotel and DMX’s Ruff Ryders’ Anthem, wrote on Instagram: “This is the best Dad moment everrrrr!!! Congrats to my son Egypt for producing his 1st track on this amazing Kendrick Album. He’s only 5yrs old wowwwwwww @aliciakeys look at our lil guy baby #blessingsonblessings thx #Kendrick for investing in the future !!!”

Egypt was bound to have musical talent – after all, Alicia Keys is his mum and Swizz is his dad.

Swizz also showed us footage of Egypt in his zone while creating it.

Hip hop seems like it’s in capable hands…
