Drake’s latest Instagram sees him posing with a former foe
For someone who came into hip hop on a different, softer, vibe to most of his fellow rappers, Drake has had his fair share of rap beefs.
The back-and-forth with Meek Mill is the most memorable, but he’s also traded shots with Joe Budden, Common and Jay Z – not to mention the subliminals with Kendrick Lamar since Control dropped back in 2013.
One of the most intriguing has been the feud with fellow Toronto native Tory Lanez – a feud that appears to have ended.
Drizzy captioned the image: “The city needs more of this and less of that” – which sounds good, but could also mean something quite different…
The two artists are undoubtedly the most successful to come out of the Six in recent times, but haven’t always seen eye-to-eye – with Tory seeking Drake’s attention from early on.
Drake first appeared to acknowledge Tory on Summer Sixteen, when he referred to the name of his mixtape New Toronto: “All you boys in the new Toronto want to be me a little”.
The two traded lines for a brief while, before Tory remixed Drake’s hit Controlla – to some controversy.
But with both sharing snaps on their Instagram, it looks like they’ve finally decided Toronto is big enough for the both of them.
