Example Wants to Write for a Boyband

Example has revealed that he would love to write a song for boy band of the moment One Direction and Spanish singer Enrique Iglesias

He told Capital FM:

I always go in [the studio] with a song title and a concept, then after the song’s done I’ll go, ‘Yeah, that sounds like The Wanted’, or ‘Why don’t we pitch that to Kylie?’… I’d like to get a song on Enrique’s album. I’d like to write a song for One Direction. I’m not really adverse to who sings my songs.”

Though Example may sound confident in his song writing skills, the 30-year-old musician revealed that he was star struck when he met Olympic gold medallist Jessica Ennis at a Stone Roses gig in London, he said:

“I didn’t know what to say. I’m usually so confident around women and in your face. It was the first time in five or six years where I’ve been really, really shy and didn’t know what to do… I didn’t know what to say to Jess, I was like ‘so what have you eaten today’?”

Example will release his new single Say Nothing in the UK on September 16.
