Plan B to form punk-dubstep group

Plan B, ever the innovator, has new plans for his future in music…

We recently featured the news of Plan B being cast alongside Ray Winstone in The Sweeney here.

After gaining universal acclaim with The Defamation of Strickland Banks, and continued success in selling out venues around the world whilst simultaneously appearing in feature films; the U.K’s very own Ben Drew, aka Plan B, has revealed his ambitions to flip the script once again and create a dubstep-punk collective with influences from The Ramones and East London’s very own, Cockney Rejects.

In a recent interview with Kiss FM the artist stated:

“I think I’m gonna start a punk band. It will be like dubstep-punk, I wanna mix electronic, aggressive sounds with punk from the day, real punk, not that American stuff.”

It seems he wants to take some of the limelight away from himself after being heavily pro-active promoting, touring and acting. He expressed “Its a lot of work being the main focus all the time, and I wanna do something where it’s a collaboration, so I kind of feel like that’s what punk bands were back in the day, it’s just a group of mates.”

After showing his multifaceted talents as a singer, rapper, performer and musician, it seems there is no deterring the artist’s creative desire to continue evolving his sound and back-catalogue, we look forward to hearing new things!
