Amy Winehouse: Official Toxicology report revealed

After weeks of rumors and speculation of the cause of the singer’s death, the report reveals that there were no illegal drugs in Amy’s system…

The St Pancras coroner’s office however, did find alcohol in her body. According to The Sun the report was presented to Amy’s parents on Tuesday. Until October 26, the cause of death will not be officially revealed.

A spokesman for the Winehouse family stated:
“Toxicology results returned to the Winehouse family by authorities have confirmed that there were no illegal substances in Amy’s system at the time of her death.

“Results indicate that alcohol was present, but it cannot be determined as yet if it played a role in her death. The family would like to thank the police and coroner for their continuing thorough investigations, and for keeping them informed throughout the process. They await the outcome of the inquest.”

Amy’s father Mitch is currently in the process of setting up a charity in the Back To Black singer’s name.
